The most common technical problems with DesignaKnit are Cable Link issues.
If you are experiencing difficulties with a cable link, you should first
read all the relevant sections in the on-line Help in the program as the solution is most
likely to be there. You should pay particular attention to the chapters called Cable
Failure Diagnostics and Device Driver Conflicts
and take especial note of the information regarding conflicting IRQ's: the DesignaKnit
cable should not share an IRQ with another device such as a mouse or pointing device,
modem, scanner, etc. However, you may set up as many DesignaKnit cable links as you
have on one serial port as they will not conflict with each other.
